A late Autumn Smiley Day
This late Autumn Smiley Day family photo shoot was chilly! The clocks had already gone back, so the sun was rising a bit later and this resulted in such gorgeous light! It was a frosty misty morning when we met after their breakfast in Shere. Once a light mist lifted, beautiful golden morning light filtered though the trees and across the fields. It was perfect for beautiful backlit photos (and it was great to see the sun on a Saturday again!) But it was nippy.

Don’t they all look great?! When choosing outfits, I always suggest to the mums that they have a read through some ideas on the blog post I created here. This family chose colours that were bold and bright to contrast the browns in trees that were still losing leaves. Plain red, navy blue, green and olive green with one patterned coat worked out really well.
This little lady was a bit reluctant to have her photo taken at first, but that subsided with her mum by her side. And what beautiful smiles they have! Theses were followed by father and son photos and different combinations of the family together.

After walking through the fields, we headed up into the woods where the children explored a hollow tree and had some fun balancing on a tree stump together for some group photos before heading further up the hill to find a giant family-sized swing

It was lovely photographing this family of 5 who I’ve know for a few years. They are fun, kind, caring, warm-hearted and always full of smiles and it was great spending the morning together photographing them!
